  2. Today we will…. • Discuss employment forms required • View sample forms required • Discuss the employee and employers responsibilities • Discuss what is and what is not valid forms of I. D.

Lets see what you know • Employers will provide me with all of the necessary forms I need. • A high school ID is a valid form of employment eligibility identification. • A U.S. Passport is the best form of Id I can provide to prove I am eligible to work. • At age 16 I can work in a factory. • I need to go to the County Clerks office to get my working papers. • My parents need to give permission for me to get my working papers.

Employment Certificates • AT-18 (Blue Paper) • 14 & 15 yr old students for general employment • Not Factory or dangerous work. • AT-19 (Green Paper) • 16 & 17 yr old students for general work purposes • Valid for work in a factory or any other trade, business, or service, but not valid for hazardous employment

How Do I get My Certificate? • Where do I go? • Local school district administration • What do I need to bring? • Written permission from a parent to work. • Proof of age, either a birth certificate or some other document at least two years old that satisfies the officer issuing the certificate; • A certificate of physical fitness to assure that the young person is in sound health and that the work will not impair his/her physical condition (provided by a doctor)
