According to Danielson… “Insofar as the outcomes determine the instructional activities, the resources used, their suitability for diverse learners, and the methods of assessment employed, they hold a central place in Domain 1.” What is the significance of this quote, which ties in all the components in Domain 1?

  5. Warm-up • Using your Quick Card and yourTeacher Evaluation Process Guide, spend a few minutes looking at the components and elements in Domain 1. • Talk to your right elbow partner and discuss the one component that you feel most comfortable employing in your practice. • Talk to your left elbow partner about the one you find most difficult.

  6. Write and Pass • Each person at the table should take one component. • You have 30 seconds to record one way you demonstrate that component/element in your teaching. • Pass the paper to your right and repeat. Continue to pass the papers until time iscalled.

  7. Be Specific Example- • 1c Elements:Value, sequence and alignment- “I aligned last year’s curriculum with MSDE CC and the new Howard County Essential Curriculum.”

  8. Connecting to Artifacts • Look at the information you have collected at your table. • Choose one or two ideas from your assigned component that could be used as an artifact. • Record the ideas on chart paper. • Gallery Walk!
