“But what's our no .1 film?” This is a rhetorical question it gets the audience thinking ,it highlights the fact that “King Kong” is a great hit and one of the best. “Exclusive” this tells its audience that that the magazine provides new material that no one else knows about this shows that the quality of the magazine and also expectations are really high. Master head The name “Empire” is covered by the image, this tells the audience that the magazine is well known therefore it does not constantly need to be in your face. Barcode, this is a normal convention however it subverts from the usually position(bottom corner) this again emphasises on the magazines confidence.
