  1. Psalm 91(Response) Psalm 91 RESPONSE(Lent & General) Ps. 91:16, 15, 2 Grant us salvation, Lord;in trouble be our refuge.

  2. R 1Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord,

  3. 2“My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”

  4. 3 For the Lord will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence

  5. 4 and will cover you with his pinions; under the Lord’s wings you will find refuge. God’s faithfulness is a shield and buckler. R

  6. 5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

  7. 6nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

  8. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

  9. 8You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.

  10. 9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your habitation,

  11. 10no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent. R

  12. 11 For God will give his angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways.

  13. 12They will bear you up on their hands lest you dash your foot against a stone.

  14. 13 You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

  15. 14 Because they cleave to me in love, I will deliver them; I will protect them, because they know my name.

  16. 15When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them.

  17. 16I will satisfy them with long life and show them my salvation. R
