  2. Psalm 2 – background • APsalm of David (Acts 4). • Acoronation psalm. • Quoted more that any other psalm in the NT.

  3. Psalm 2 – View of earth, 1-3 • Conflict: “Why do the nations rage?” • Confusion: “And the people plotavainthing?”

  4. Psalm 2 – View of earth, 1-3 • Arrogance: “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together,” • Opposition: “Againstthe LORD and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and castaway Their cords from us.’”

  5. Psalm 2 – View of Heaven, 4-9 • God Is On His Throne. • Christ Has Been Made King. “I have set My King on My holy hill” (This is talking prophetically about Jesus Christ).
