Desire to Learn • Access multiple course pages through one main website. • Advantage: Convenience. • Enables students to take quizzes online rather than in class. • Advantage: Saves class time. • Students may check their overall progress. • Advantage: Teachers can check frequency of students’ logins onto course homepage.

  3. Student Link • Webreg – Students are able to add and drop classes via internet. • SAPR – Students are able to constantly track their academic profiles. • Grades – Students are able to keep track of their grades throughout their entire collegiate career. • Webpay – Students are able to make financial advances through student link.

  4. Library Searches • Students are able to search for texts on a computer • Not necessary to understand the Dewey Decimal System • Can find books a lot faster • http://library.arizona.edu

  5. Turnitin.com • Prohibits plagiarism • Easier than printing hard copies and physcially bringing them to class • Does all the work for teachers in terms of scanning papers for cheating.

  6. Projectors/ELMO • Makes word display clearer and larger for kids to read in large classes. • Maximizes class time because teacher does not have to write things out. • Eliminates transparencies.

  7. Excel • Allows teachers and students to store valuable information in an organized fashion. • Creates graphs for math, science, etc. • Does various complex calculations. • Allows for crisp visuals.

  8. Laptops • Allows students to bring computer to class • Easier to take notes for fast typists. • Can access the class notes online during class so students can follow lecture and add their own input.
