  1. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.   3. I. Are Simple 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  4. I. Are Simple • Written for the simple (Psa. 119:130) • Appeals to the simple (Mark 12:37) • Comfort: All I need to know is simple!

  5. II. For Children Too 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  6. II. For Children Too • Teach / saturate children (Deut 6) • Whole Counsel – For The Young Too • Not just morals, character studies • Lessons: elders, church, error, etc.

  8. III. Can Be Known • If we can’t – reflects on God • Can Know – not just think or feel • Difference: • Hard & Impossible • Knowing everything & anything

  12. V. Are Written • No less effective than oral • It is to be read - studied

  13. VI. Are Powerful 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

  14. VI. Are Powerful • Power is in word – not messenger • Word can change the wicked • Must believe in that power!
