  9. To date, 25 countries have adopted the APT700 band. Japan, Australia, Mexico and Taiwan have licensed the band. Devices and infrastructure will become available mid-2014. Excellent potential for global roaming. Momentum in ITU Region 1 for a combination of the lower duplexer of the APT700 band with the CEPT800 band, currently being deployed in Europe. Ericsson recommends to license spectrum in blocks of 2x5 MHz. APT700 – Current update The APT700 band brings significant economies of scale and capabilities to cost efficiently cover also rural areas
