  2. Day 1: Arrive in DC • Drive into DC • Check into hotel • Relax • Eat • Walk around Mall?

Day 2: DC History • Ford’s Theater: • Hour-long guided tours of the theater available select Sundays for $28.00/person • Investigative tours lasting 2 hours follows the trail of clues after the Lincoln assassination (does not include entrance to the theater) $17.00/person • Library of Congress: • Self-guided visits available • Public tours Monday-Fridays start every hour at the half-hour mark, starting at 10:30am (ask front desk about capacity of upcoming tours 20 mins before hand) • Public tours on Saturdays start every hour at the half-hour mark between 10:30am and 2:30pm • Special family tours occur at 10am on Saturdays • Vending machines, snack bars, and cafes are available dining options • National Archives: • Open 7 days a week, 10am-5:30pm • Guided Tours are ticketed and start at 9:45am Monday-Friday • Timed Visit entry tickets are also available, visitor choice of time, and allows the visitor to bypass any front-door lines • Reserving tickets online has a $1.50 convenience fee

CYO NC Day 11: Museum of Cherokee and Oconaluftee Village • Tickets for museum are $4-10 • Explore and learn about Cherokee heritage and traditions • The village offers a hands-on experience of Cherokee history • Oconaluftee offers lectures, a walking tour, a craft line, and children’s classes • Tickets for Oconaluftee are $19/adult, $11/child, and $10/child class; open 10am-4pm w/ tours available every 15min except for 11:30am-12:30pm • There are other attractions near by, such as Cherokee art exhibits and exhibitions and outdoor adventures (horse-back riding, fishing, etc.) • Mostly 2/3-star hotels around, though Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort is 4-stars
