Completed activities 2005 • Magnets • Replacement quadrupole jacks (ring magnets) • Beam transfer • LSS4 : replacement MSE protection element (TPSG4 beam diluter) • LSS6 : major upgrade extraction channel (fast extraction to LHC), including new septa protection (TPSG6) and 4 MKEs • New bumper configuration in LSS6 • New transfer line configuration for TI2 (+ old T1 removed) • Beam instrumentation (mainly SPS points 4, 5 and 6) • New BIPMH in LSS5 • Instrumentation moves (BSHV, BPSM, BRCV, …) • Removal all BI monitors in TT60 (obsolete slow extraction to West Area) Nicolas GILBERT (AB-ABP)

Completed activities 2005 • RF : Upgrade of SPS damper in LSS2 • Experiment :Removal of the 2 Roman Pots in LSS5(LHC experiment TOTEM) • Civil Engineering : Vault repair in LSS3(lots of contributions !) • Support • AT/VAC : frequent interventions (beam line configurations, access, removal TAL 11431, …) • SC/RP : control during access to tunnel • TS/SU : general check alignments, altimetry, … • TS/CV : various interventions on cooling networks & ventilation ducts • TS/EL : change of irradiated cables in LSS6, as well as in TDC2 including removal of PVC cables • TS/IC – HM : involved in all transport issues Nicolas GILBERT (AB-ABP)

Start up organisation • Weekly SPS coordination meetings from January • Short daily coordination meeting once SPS access restricted (from feb.) with directly concerned people • Regular SPS planning update, available under Web/EDMS • Major update of SPS drawings (more than 250 updated layout drawings up to now by TS/MME) available soon in CDD Nicolas GILBERT (AB-ABP)
