Trent Boult Wants To Play Remaining Matches Of IPL 2021 Mumbai Indians (MI) star pacer Trent Boult has expressed his desire to play in the rest of the matches of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 when it will resume in the UAE later this year as well. Boult, who led the bowling attack of Mumbai to the victory in the 2020 season of the tournament, said that he would love to play the rest of the games of IPL 2021 if he gets a chance to be featured in the cash-rich league. Notably, the league got suspended in May after several players got affected by the deadly virus despite being in the bio-bubble. And, the players have reached home following the suspension of IPL 2021 as well. So far 29 matches have taken place and 31 matches left as well. “It was entirely different to play half of the tournament. Looks like it is moving forward to the UAE, it was held very nicely last year there. If I’ll get a chance, I’ll be looking forward to finishing that campaign off myself,” Boult said in a virtual press conference. However, it would help MI if Boult takes part in the league as the left-arm pacer is a key player of their team who can turn the table single handedly. Boult took 25 wickets in 15 matches in IPL 2020 in the UAE where Mumbai Indian won the IPL title for the record fifth time as well. And, in IPL 2021, he has played 7 games so far and picked up 8 wickets as well. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians is at number four in the points table of IPL 2021 with 4 wins in 7 matches before the league got suspended. However, Boult is currently busy with his international commitments as New Zealand will soon take on India in the WTC Final.
