Indian Cricket News, Overview and Update T20I 2021 'They are taking this game to a new level': Hogg applauds Indian youngsters Former Australia wrist spinner Brad Hogg has recently made a huge prediction about Indian cricket as he believes it will become a powerhouse of world cricket in the upcoming 10 years. He also sees a lot of potential in the youngsters of Indian cricket and feels that the management should back them so that they could do well in the upcoming years as well as in the most important T20 World Cup which is scheduled to take place later this year. However, he also expressed that the players like Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan have really impressed him. While Pant has been in a prolific form since the Australia tour, Ishan Kishan has made wonders in his T20I debut where he smashed a convincing fifty and helped his side win as well. And, the 50-year-old veteran believed that the sooner India depends more on the youngsters, the quicker they will start dominating world cricket. "I am loving this lively Indian National team. I think after the T20 World Cup later this year, they should make a few more changes. Add a bit of depth with a bit of youth, because they are taking this game to a new level, taking Indian cricket to a new level in all formats. Indian cricket is going to be the powerhouse over the next decade," Hogg said on his YouTube channel. However, he also claimed that Ishan should get more chances in the opening slot alongside Rohit Sharma and if can manage to score on a constant basis, he can be a strong contender as India's T20 opener for the coming series as well as for the T20 World Cup at home. "I think they’ve got to stick with Ishan Kishan. He is young, he is explosive, he’s got a good strike-rate, he takes on the quick bowlers and spinners as well. He takes the pressure of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as we heard Kohli say in the press conference. Rahul is out of form. Ishan Kishan, this is his opportunity to take and he's got two games at least to take the opening spot away from Dhawan and Rahul and make it his own," Hogg concluded.
