There is a possibility of two neighbours once again getting involved in a three-match T20I series later this year. The story India and Pakistan played last bilateral series in 2-12-13. Since then the political relations between these two sides have worsen which is why they have not met for bilateral series anymore. India and Pakistan nowadays only meet for ICC cricket events and Asia Cup. But according to a Pakistan newspaper Jang, these two teams can once again face each other and play bilateral series later this year. Image Source by Twitter The report suggests that India and Pakistan cricket team might play three T20I matches in a six-day period time. According to the newspaper, a Pakistan Cricket Board official initially denied the speculations as he said that there are no talks between PCB and the BCCI. Still he hinted towards the possibility about a series later in the year. Meanwhile, the chairman of the concerned board, Ehsan Mani on Tuesday cleared that Pakistan board is not in any talks with the Indian cricket board.

  2. ICC meeting to take place soon However, PCB sources in case of series taking place, the Indian team that will be visiting Pakistan as Pakistan had toured India the last time. As per the hectic cricket calendar including the ongoing FTP, the bilateral series seems to be an impossible on. The report claimed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been already asked to be prepared in case talks materialise in future. On the other hand, both cricket boards are busy taking preparations for the World Cup. India will be hosting the T20 World Cup later this year. An ICC meeting is to be held soon and the Indian board has to inform the ICC about the progress made on visas and security arrangements for Pakistan players, journalists and spectators for the showpiece event.
