Students have less anxiety since the class is not staring at them
Teachers can support and encourage individual learning without drawing the attention of the rest of the class
9. Thoughtful Discourse Discussion prompts require students to apply their current and old vocabulary and skills
Students read and respond to each other’s comments
Allows students time to process before responding
10. Individualization of Instruction Students can learn at a time and location that fits their style
Students can participate in the discussions that interest them
Students that need extra help can take advantage of the review activities
