  16. Mainstreaming MigrationFour LSGs (Crna Trava, Trgoviste, V. Han & Vlasotince) have revised their Social Strategies to include migration; adoption pending

  17. New skills, jobs & opportunities 24 more young migrants & persons affected by migration commenced re-training as hair stylists, lorry drivers, barbers (skills in demand by the market) at the People’s University of Vranje & in local firms

  18. Films raising awareness among policy makersPeople Without Dreams, examines the economic motives propelling asylum & migration, premiered to high level opinion formers. Screened at local youth festivals too. Four new films underway examining gender & youth aspects fuelling migration

  19. Delivering services at sub-municipal levelA former MZ building was refurbished & opened as a Citizens’ Advice Office in Lepenice, a large Roma populated village 10km from V. Han centre. Of 650 people served to date, 400 were Roma & 280 were elderly.

  20. Youth Offices: Migration researchYouth Office staff in Bosilegrad, Presevo, Surdulica & Trgoviste are researching national minorities, gender & youth aspects of migration. Youth acquiring new skills.Synergies with rest of PBILD programme.

  21. Addressing Asylum ChallengeNo Problem booklet produced in simple user-friendly language3,200 copies distributed to local & national stakeholders from CSWs, Youth Offices & CACs for wider dissemination.
