  2. Introduction • Our Unit was based on the number zero. The unit question I had to answer was how did the ancients use numbers. In the slides to come you will see you will see parts of the unit question and at the end of those parts you will see a conclusion to the unit question. • I hope you enjoy my presentation.

  3. Historical facts 1. Where did number zero come from? The number zero came from the Indians and the Mayans. 2. When did it spread to Europe? It spread to Europe at around 800-900 AD 3.Describe what was wrong with the roman number system? The roman number system was without a zero so they tried to find a substitute to represent hundreds or thousands without using zero
