  3. Egyptian Calendar • Three seasons of 120 days plus five feast days for the gods • Season 1: Akhet (flood ) June 15-Oct 15 • Season 2: Peret (planting ) Oct 15-Feb 15 • Season 3: Shemu (harvest) Feb 15-June 15

  4. Medicine • Dentists, eye doctors, animal doctors, and surgeons • Used splints, compresses, bandages • Had many remedies…hair loss=mix of dog toes, dates, and a donkey hoof
