  2. Introduction • What has six legs, two antennas and is brown? A cockroach! Some people think they are gross but I think they are interesting. I also think they are cool.

  3. What does the cockroach look like? • Cockroaches have no bones, six legs and two antennas. Cockroaches also have two wings, hairs that taste food, they also have smooth flat backs. Cockroaches also have body parts that are called pulps. Cockroaches are sometimes no bigger than an ant, but some can be the size of a babies first finger.

  4. What is the cockroach’s habitat ? • Cockroaches live in the rain forest. They also live in the desert. Some cockroaches live in woody land, they also live in Madagascar. Cockroaches also live in the jungle.

  5. What does the cockroach eat? • Cockroaches eat other dead insects. They also eat their own Skelton. Cockroaches also eat starchy foods. Most eat about anything.

  6. Cockroach babies • Cockroach babies can be laid from eggs or born alive.

  7. Fun facts • Cockroaches can spread diseases. There are 4,000 different kinds of cockroaches. Cockroaches have been around for 350 million years. Cockroaches don’t like light. The cockroaches that live in houses are nocturnal. A cockroach doesn’t have a nose or a tongue. Some cockroaches are as clear as water. A cockroach can go for a month without eating. A cockroach can go for a week without its head. A cockroach can hold its breath for 40 minutes. Female cockroaches can mate once and stay pregnant for life.
