Foundation of AICF • Background • Shift to the borderless society beyond the border by progress of IT • Spread of the smart cards which are the new infrastructures which guarantee the security and reliability of IT society • Requests • Development of smart card related technology and expansion promotion of an infrastructure by cooperation among Asian countries • Information exchange and business support about standardization between countries Establishment 9 June 2004 (Seoul) The Inaugural General Meeting

  14. e- Passport Interoperability Test Project e-Passport Interoperability Test Session 8th – 10th March, 2005 Tsukuba, Japan Cooperation : ICAO, ISO Japanese Government Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry of Foreign Affairs NMDA ( New Media Development Association ) ESSEN Group Purpose : Interoperability Test between e-Passport ( e-MRPs ) chip and Readers (PCDs ) based on ICAO Spec. and ISO/IEC14443 Participation : 23 Nations ( 8 Asian Countries )
