    5. This year alone we have over $25 million in training and research partnerships with universities within the state. Now, let’s shift gears and look at some examples of our military value. In particular some specific examples in direct support to Operation Iraqi Freedom. This year alone we have over $25 million in training and research partnerships with universities within the state. 6. By Rapid we mean blending the best of a traditional acquisition process with off the shelf buying to field a complete system within a 1.5-2year max window. Most of our projects are focused on 6month to a year and have been as short as just a few days. Notice that our goal is focusing on an 80% solution to meet an emergent threat. There is a huge time laps between meeting a requirement 100% and getting a product fast. In the AT/FP world there is not much time for that therefore we’ve adopted this approach. 8. Strategic Missions provides credible military options to deter aggression by adversaries that threaten vital interests of the United States or its allies. Should deterrence fail, it provides a means to defend the United States and its allies against long range ballistic missile attacks.

    10. Crane’s laboratory and outdoor test facilities for Sensors, Electronics, Electronic Warfare; Weapons and munitions are a natural complement to the Indiana National Guards infrastructure for training. This partnership will facilitate the ability for Crane to receive a requirement, prototype a solution, assess it’s effectiveness (Developmental Test) using the test capabilities at Crane, then evaluate the solution’s performance and suitability (Operational Test) in a simulated “real-world” environment at Camp Atterbury/MUTC.Crane’s laboratory and outdoor test facilities for Sensors, Electronics, Electronic Warfare; Weapons and munitions are a natural complement to the Indiana National Guards infrastructure for training.
