  8. IPPF’s contribution to global development objectives … • Strong SRHR advocate • Active participation at global level giving voice to CSO’s • Delivering quality SRHR services & information • Engaging youth, men & boys, reaching out to the most underserved populations • Sexual rights Keeping issues on agenda - working in partnership – holding governments and others accountable Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement

  9. How can we better contribute … • Organizational capacity building – country level (tailored to needs and context, building quality and consistency) and intellectual Thought Leader • Involvement of key stakeholders – young people and religious organisations • Utilise better our current structure – sometimes competing not colluding Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement

  10. Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement

  11. Risks & Threats faced by IPPF … • Diverse mission – dilution of mandate from FP/RH towards broader social & humanitarian issues • Fragmentation – knowing what to leave to others • Funding & increased competition within the sector • Rise of the opposition • Not utilising our greatest asset – country based, locally operated NGO’s Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement

  12. Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement

  13. Future direction … • Global movement is important but so is the country level movements • Delivery of services to all but often as an enabler working to support existing mechanisms • Utilise your global reach – reach out to other national CSO’s, build national capacity • Ensure more accountability, demonstrating results and cost effectiveness Moving Forward Together: Engage |Focus |Implement
