  2. A is for Ariel • Ariel is a moon of Uranus. • It is made of water, Ice, and rock • It has craters and its crater are small not large. By: Symia

  3. A is for Asteroid • Medium-sized rock fragments left over from the formation of the Solar System left to float around space. • A rock, or minor planet orbiting the sun. • Most asteroids lie in a vast ring between the orbits of Mars & Jupiter. By: Malik

  4. Bis for Black Holes • The core of a collapsed star. • Its gravity is strong that not even light can escape. • It is a region of space around a very small and extremely massive object. By: Robert

  5. cis for comet • A comet is like a big ball of ice that flies through space. • Comets have a tail of dust that follows them • A comet is usually named after the person discovered it By: Brianna

  6. C is for Comet • A comet is like a big ball of ice that flies through space. • Comet have a tail’’ of dust that follows them. • A comet is usually named after the person who discovered it. By: Savanna

  7. C is for Cupid • Cupid is a moon of Uranus. • Cupid was discovered on August 25 2003,by M.R. Showalter and J.J. Lissauer. • Cupid was named after the Roman god of love. By: Jack

  8. D is Dark Matter • It is matter{particals of clouds and dust} • Dark matter takes up about 25 present of space By: Jhaviair

  9. E is for Earth • Earth is the third planet from the sun and the fifth largest planet in the solar system. The only planet in the universe on which life is known to exists.Earth has one natural sailite [the moon] • It takes 365 days for to orbit the sun • Earth is one of the four inner planet’s By: Aswad

  10. F is for Flares • A sudden burst of energy from a flare, like the sun. By: Jillian

  11. G is for galactic center • The nucleus or center of a usually densely populated by stars . • The galactic center of the milky way is about 28,000 light years from earth. • The galactic center contains a black hole in its center. ByTrent

  12. His for Helium • Helium is the second most common element in the universe after hydrogen. • The atmosphere of large gas planets like Jupiter and Saturn is made up of hydrogen and helium. • Stars turn their supply of hydrogen into helium which created the light and heat that is necessary for on planets like Earth. By: Camille

  13. Iis for Io • Io is the moon of Jupiter. • Io is the 4th largest moon in the solar system. • Io was discovered in 1610 by Galileo Galilei, along with other Galilean satellites. By: Audrey

  14. J is for Jupiter • Jupiter is the largest planet. • It has 50 official moons and 12 (provisional) • I has A big red spot that has a storm called EYE!!! By: De’Aundra

  15. K is for Kale • Kale is the moon of Jupiter. • Jupiter is a big planet By: Michiala

  16. Lis for Larissa • Larissa is a moon of Neptune. • The first one to discovered Larissa was Harold William B. Hubbard, Larry A , Lebofsky, and David, J. Tholen. • On May 24, 1981 it was given the temporary designation and it was annoucced on May 29, 1981. By: Anthony

  17. M is for Mars • Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. • Mars has seasons just like Earth. • Mars has a large volcano on it. By: Hector

  18. Mis for Meteoroids • Any small object in outer space such as dust or a rock. • They range is size from small grains to 1 meter-wide objects. • Large meteoroids are believed to come from asteroid belt. By: Ernie

  19. Nis for Nebula • A nebula is an interstellar cloud in outer space that is made up of dust, hydrogen, helium, gas and plasma. • Nebulae comes in shapes and colors. By: Kylie

  20. Ois for Orion • Orion is a constellation of a hunter and now he is in the sky. • Orin is not visible in the in the summer. • Orion’s stars on his belt are named Alnilam, Alnitak, andMintaka. By: Nasiyah

  21. Tiny world orbiting the sun in a very elliptical orbit. • Pluto has four moons orbiting it. Pis for Pluto By: Brilliance

  22. Ris for rhea • A Rhea Is moon of Saturn, discovered in 1672. • Rhea is the second largest moon of Saturn. • Rhea is 327,490 miles (527,040 km) from the sun. By: Nathan

  23. sis for Saturn • Saturn is the 6 planet from the sun. • Saturn is surrounded by huge rings made out of icy rocks. • Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system. By: Amonte

  24. The sun was born in a vast cloud. • The sun produces its own heat • The sun is a star in the middle of the solar system S is for sun By: Alex

  25. T is for Taygete • Taygete is a moon of Jupiter • It takes about 732 days to complete 1 orbit. • Taygete was named after a star. By: Faith

  26. Uis for Uranus • Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. • Uranus’ pale blue color is caused by the methane in it’s atmosphere witch flitters out red light. • Uranus’ has 27 moons (so far discovered) orbiting the planet.
