  3. NHS GP Placements • Following the GP Selection Process MDHU posts allocated • Single Services review military practices • Request for NHS placements • These are made to DPGPE Severn

  4. The SLAs • Once NHS placement is known, contact made with the practice • Full time or 50:50 SLA forwarded for signature to all parties • GPStR asked to make contact with the practice: • CV • Performers List • The SLAs – to discuss

  5. Finance • Trainer Grant payment details are in the SLA • Invoice the DPMD direct • Invoice quarterly and retrospectively • Any delay contact the GPVT Business Manager (details enclosed)

  6. Finance • GPStRs apply through the Defence Deanery for payment for courses • Additional costs for GPVT made to DPMD through the GPVT Business Manager

  7. Study Leave • Defence GP Training Manual • 30 days Annual and 30 days Study • In accordance with national guidelines, 10 days per annum for unexpected leave or military training • GPStRs to attend Highlands and Islands x twice in an 18 month period • To attend local GPVT while in practice • Study Leave attendance to be tracked through DPMD
