  3. Mrs. Benedik’s period 2 and 3 Biology classes are to report to the Lecture Hall for their test today. Periods 6 and 7’s test will be taking place in the regular room, G24.

  4. If any girl is interested in serving on the executive board for Today's Girls Tomorrow's Women you must see Ms. Hudock in Room 209 for the requirements before the end of the day on Thursday

  5. Reminder to FRESHMEN running for student council: Remember that your forms for running are due to Mrs. Benedik with signatures by 3:00PM on WEDNESDAY!

  6. Volleyball News • Congratulations to the volleyball team. • They defeated Woodland Hills last night. • JV remains undefeated in Section play and the Varsity is 7-1.  • Go Eagles!

  7. Soccer News • The city was lit up and alive and our Eagles lit up the scoreboard as Highmark Stadium came alive in the 4-2 section win over Penn Hills to keep our playoff hopes alive.  Junior Amber Nolf tallied two goals while fellow junior Abbe Richard and freshman Essence Canady recorded one each.  • Senior Recognition is tonight at Central against Gateway.  Come out and support or Eagles Soccer Team!!  Good luck girls!!

ANY and ALL students interested in joining the step team or seeing what it's all about, please meet us for an INTEREST MEETING in the Aux Gym on Tuesday, October 8th, directly after school until approximately 3:30. • Tryout practices will be 3:15 - 5:00 on Wednesday, October 9th, Tuesday, October 15th, and Thursday, October 17th.   • Official Tryouts are 3:15 on Tuesday, October 22 in the Aux Gym.

  18. OC OC what's our yell?  • Calendars, calendars, sell, sell, sell!  • There is no turn in this week, but be sure to take advantage and double up your sales to turn in on October 9.  • We're almost at the goal of a day off from school! 

  19. The 47th Annual Duquesne University College Fair will be held at the A.J. Palumbo Center on Sunday, October 13th from 1PM to 3PM Over 150 colleges and universities will be in attendance.  This is a great way to meet with representatives from a variety of schools No registration is required.

  20. Submitto Forté • Are you an ARTIST? Are you a photographer, a poet, a doodler, an author, a dancer, a painter? • Then submit your art, whatever it may be, to FORTE, OC’s Art and Literary Magazine • Drop off submissions in Room 208 or send scanned or video submissions to oaklandcatholicforte@gmail.com • Our theme this year is PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE • Deadline for Submissions is November 15th
