  3. * Uniform * • The Flag Squad uniform includes: • a white long-sleeve spandex shirt • a white vest with sequins • white gloves • black pants • black socks • black shoes

  4. Facts • The Flag Squad is part of the PHS Band Department. • When we are done with marching band season the Flag Squad members play their instruments in the band during contest season. • The Flag Squad captains are the members who have been on the squad the longest. This is not always the seniors. • Once you have made the Flag Squad you are on it until you graduate. • There are usually 10 or less members on the Flag Squad

  5. Performances The marching band and flag squad perform at each home game. During the pre-game show they play the Star Spangled Banner and make the Postville Loyalty tunnel for the football players to crash through. They also perform a few selections at halftime.

  6. Moves! Sweep: You swing the flag behind your back Basic Spin: You spin the flag in front Big Spin: same as a regular spin but the flag is held closer to the bottom of its pole Sweep w/ spin: same as a sweep with a spin behind the back Most of the moves start on the right and move to the left but they can be reversed if needed.

  8. Some other moves… Stacy… Full moose: a half moose but instead of bringing the flag in front after you spin it behind your head, you spin it behind your back and head again then bring the flag in front. Canoe move…
