Two Dimension Squares • A square is a quadrilateral with four equal sides and four 90 degree angles • Flat • All four sides are equal • Each corner is a 90 degree angle (all right angles) • Perimeter • Area • Different Names • Square • Rectangle • Parallelogram • Rhombus • Quadrilateral • Trapezoid

  3. Measuring A Square • Perimeter: s+s+s+s or S4 or L2 + W2 • Area: L x W= 2 (the answer equals squared)

  5. Measuring a Three- Dimensional Figure • Volume: Length x Width x Height= 3 (answer of volume equals cubed) V= L x W x H Volume of a cube: V=S3 (only for a cube)
