  3. General Management Challenges • What are the biggest management challenges of the NSI and how these challenges can be met? • The lessons learnt so far? Are there experiences/good management/leadership practices which you would like to share with others? • What is your views about the use of any quality management model/framework like TQM?   4. Public trust • What is your views/experiences to measure/monitor/assess public trust? • What should NSI’s do in order to maintain/increase public trust? How the fundamental principles of official statistics are communicated and advocated to the stakeholders and to the public at large? • What is your views/experiences to regularly/systematically collect and analyse opinions/feedback of/from the users and other stakeholders? • What is your view on staff opinion surveys?   5. Professionalism and competence • How the NSI can increase its professionalism? • What is your view on the most important issues relating to human resource management? Who should be responsible for HRM in NSI’s? • What is your view on training of staff, middle managers and directors? • What would be the most effective ways to organise internal communication in the NSI’s? Co-operation and learning from others • What the national stakeholders or international statistical community could do in order to support NSI’s aims and plans to strengthen the national statistical system? • Do you see it useful to intensify co-operation among the ECLAC countries’ NSI’s as regards management questions in general? If yes, how this could be implemented in practice? What would be the most useful/urgent areas for that kind of regional co-operation? • What the IAOS and international statistical community could do better in order to improve and encourage world-wide exchange of experience and good management practices among the NSI’s?
