Pre approval co-ordination provided by SNH • Working with RPID (Dumfries and Ayr) and FCS teams • Total of 27 Case Officers involved across three organisations • RPID lead on business/agri envirnt, FCS on forestry, SNH on designated sites/community • Expert advice available in addition from SEPA, LA, SEnterprise, VS, SCVO

  8. In Dumfries and Galloway Total cases approved to date 347 (81% of 430 applied for) Total priorities approved to date 448 (76% of 591 applied for ) Total grant value to date £28.4M (73% of the £38.7M applied for)

  9. Some examples of proposals approved Ovibreed Ltd, breeding services, awarded £87,355. to expand into new, purpose-built facilities situated on the family farm. Solway transport Ltd, awarded £28,052 to help purchase a purpose built live fish transporting trailer with Oxyguard oxygen system. The RSPB, awarded £190,000 to create a new native woodland on Barclye farm near Newton Stewart Blackchub Farming Co, awarded £21,000 for a microhydro scheme Camplebridge Riding School, awarded £88,949 to create an indoor arena and facilities esp. for less able riders. Nether Keir farm awarded £156,000 to install new robotic milking system, housing for an expanded milking herd.

The Southern Uplands Partnership awarded £15,500 for a feasibility study, and design work for a low carbon office building at Canonbie. • Bagbie farm Creetown awarded £35,000 for wetland management and creation of 2 signed footpath routes • Haugh of Urr ice cream expansion through investment in infrastructure of £94,000 (creating 2 new jobs). • Farm investment to enable major expansion of production, create 2 jobs and help address diffuse pollution to the Piltanton Burn awarded £247,000. • Major new broadleaved woodland creation on 124 ha north of Langholm awarded £532,412 (expands an existing 90 ha scheme) • Management of 1100 ha of land in the Moffat hills SSSI awarded £100,000
