  1. Sanctioned Training – The Training Provider Approval Body Perspective Atlanta, GA July 23, 2010 Shanya SalamacaRABQSA International Auditor Workshop Atlanta, GA July 22-23, 2010

  2. Background • In accordance with the Supplemental Rule, RABQSA developed processes for the approval of auditors and training providers for the 2009 versions of the AS standards. • The goal of RABQSA was to make the process as simple as possible, without adding additional cost. • RABQSA’s processes were approved by the RMC in April, and were launched to aerospace auditors and training providers upon the release of the Aerospace Auditor Transition Training (AATT).

  3. Training Providers • To become certified to offer AATT: • If currently certified, the Training Provider must submit an application showing: • Two instructors have completed both the AATT and the Aviation Space & Defense Evaluator (ASDE) training. At least one of the instructors must have the experience described in AS9104/3 Section 6.4 • A process is in place for handling the recommendations that come out of the ASDE training.

  4. Training Providers • If not currently certified, the Training Provider must also submit its procedures for supporting the administration aspects of the AATT. • This is verified in an office audit prior to granting certification. • All certified Training Providers appear on the RABQSA web site register: www.rabqsa.com. At publication time, there were 3 training providers approved.

  5. Auditors • Authenticated auditors for AS9100 must show evidence of completion of the AATT course, obtained through an accredited Training Provider. • Authenticated auditors for AS9110 must show evidence of completion of both the AS9100 and AS9110 portions of the AATT course. • Authenticated AS9120 auditors must show evidence of completion of both the AS9100 and AS9120 portions of the AATT course.

  6. Auditors • Any new auditors seeking authentication need to follow the same guidelines as the previous slide. • The remaining requirements of the current version of AS9104/3 must also be met, including: • Work experience requirements • Industry experience requirements (including Industry specific training, as applicable) • QMS Auditor training • Audit experience

  7. Applications • Initial and transition applications are available on our web site. • Electronic application is the accepted method of submission. • Questions related to the auditor process can be directed to Victor Leon vleon@rabqsa.com • Questions related to the Training Provider process can be directed to Shanya Salamaca ssalamaca@rabqsa.com
