  23. ISSUES • Less number of children covered against Enrolment Less number of days covered (133 against 167) • Less coverage of children under SHP • Less distribution of IFA, Vitamin A and deworming medicines • Annual Entry of the NCLP Schools are pending.

  24. MI ISSSUES : A.N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies Darbhanga, Saharsa, Sheohar, Sitamari • Children, parents and community members were not happy with quality of food. • Most schools served often average quality of food items in unhygienic condition. • Food was cooked and kept in open and dirty ground • Average quality of food grains are being provided. Buffer stock was not maintained in maximum schools. • Health Check- up was not done in some of the visited schools, IFA distribution was less. • In case of delay of cooking cost MDM is discontinued. • VSS/MTA members were not properly aware with their roles .

  25. MI ISSSUES : JamiaMilliaIslamia(Districts covered : BANKA, BHAGALPUR, KAIMUR, KISHANGANJ,PURNIA • Interruption in the visited schools due to shortage of food grain, fuel and cooking cost. Kishangang 29 (72% ) Banka 39 (97.5%) , 34 (85%) Bhagalpur, 36 (90%) in kaimoor • Large variation is found in enrolment and MDM register. • Micronutrients are not being provided. • Health cards are not there. • Quality of MDM is poor • Buffer stock is not maintained.

  31. Proposal for Cook-cum-helper engaged in MDM Scheme • In 2012-13 CCH Approved 183583, • The State has engaged 168340 CCH. • The State has proposed to engage 63471 more in 2013-14 • Out of 643471, 15243 is under the cap of PAB approval (183583 -168340 = 15243 + 48228 =231811 )

Proposal for Construction of Kitchen - Devices • GOI has already sanctioned 86428 units of Kitchen devices as per the earlier number of institutions reported by GOB. • GOB has returned 1123.02 lakh to GOI in 2011-12. • GOB has proposed 48145 KD replacement of the old utensils of 2007-08 may be provided in 2013-14
