8. My friend • My friend, Peter, likes reading very much. He went everywhere with a book. He read books on his way home. He also read books when he had dinner. He still read books in his bed at night. One day, he couldn’t see things clearly, so he went to see a doctor. The doctor told him to take care of his eyes. Now, Peter reads books in his study every day.

11. A trip to the park • Tom and Linda are good friends. One day, they went to the park together. In the park, they sang and danced happily. They ran after the butterflies, too. In the park, there were a lot of beautiful flowers. Linda liked the flowers, so she picked one. But Tom told her not to pick flowers because it was bad for our environment. Linda promised not to pick flowers again. What a wonderful trip it was!

12. Tips for making the writing better • Read your article again and try to : • 1. find the spelling mistakes. (拼写错误) • 2. find the grammar mistakes, such as tenses, agreement, etc. (语法错误，如时态，主谓一致等) • 3. rewrite some sentences to make them better by using some conjunctions. (美化句子，可以使用连接词等) • 4.check if the content is reasonable and logical. (检查内容是否合理，逻辑是否通顺)
