Emergency Services • Does your ground team know what marijuana looks like? • Do they know the legal procedures if they find it? • Do you check to see if any of the ground team members are on medication (Heat and cold may affect them)?
Operations • Go to federal aviation regulation 61 which refers to inhalants , OTC and prescriptions • Inhalants could impair operation of aircrafts and others personnel not flying
Professional Development • DDR is requirement for: • SLS • CLC • UCC • Region Staff College • Why does DDR need to be taught?
Chaplain Services • DDR needs to be taught at Chaplains College • Chaplain Services should work with DDR CAP members and their own church members
Public Affairs • Work with PAOs to advertise DDR Program newsletters, e-mails, community activities • Work with PAOs in educating and publicizing DDR through various strategies within our communities
Cadet Programs • DDR is a requirement for encampment • DDR should be a part of other cadet training events and activities
DDR Involvement in Region and Wing Activities • Wing and Region Conferences • Special Seminars • Special DDR Activities • DDR Play Presentations • DDR Displays • DDR Education Units/Lessons • Region and Wing Training • Search And Rescue College/Training • Mountain and other Flight Clinics

Keys to Successful Region and Wing Command Staff Support • Encourage Region & Wing Staffs and Squadrons to acquire a good understanding of the DDR Program and get involved in program activities • Encourage Region & Wing Command Staffs to work with Region DDRC and Wing DDRAs • Keep Region & Wing Command Staff involved in reviewing, assisting and approving DDR paperwork (all reports)
