  15. 7. Data Storage Do NOT hold the only copy of important documents or photos in one place Especially NOT on the iPad. iPads are for COPIES only Backups?

  16. 8. Passwords • Do NOT trust your memory • Use different password for different logins • A good password has U/Case+ L/Case+ Num + Special • Use a code to hide the password in plain sight • HOW • Make a list of words with a UNIQUE first letter • ….like this

  17. Example 1: Mr Peter Alan Smith His wife’s name is Helen, and she was born in 1970 His son’s name is Tom, and was born in 2002 His wife’s mother’s name is Samantha Jane Slattery We now pick out all the words with unique first letters and ignore all the ambiguous ones like: S in Smith, Samantha and Slattery Now we can write a CODE that reminds us of the PASSWORD CODEPASSWORD Hence: HpA2 translates to: HELENpeterALAN2002 Hence: tHj1 translates to: tomHELENjane1970 And you can write the code in plain sight.

  18. Example 2: – Credit Card PIN Favourite number between 1 & 4 This number corresponds to the position of the numbers on your card. So you can look at the card to see the PIN. Now each Card has a different PIN Therefore: If favourite Number is 3 Card Number: 1234 5678 0987 6543 PIN: 3 7 8 4
