The Accuser of our brethren, Apollyon & Abaddon (the destroyer), the Adversary, Belial (wickedness), Beelzebul (lord of filth or flies), deceiver, great dragon, the evil one, father of lies, the god of this world, a liar, a murderer, the prince of the power of the air, the ruler of this world, the ancient serpent, the tempter. THE DEVIL

  4. 1. He is taught in 7 OT books. • 2. He is taught by all NT writers. • 3. He is taught by Jesus-- 25 times in the Gospels. SATAN, THE DEVIL

  5. “One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.”” Job 1:6-7

  6. “How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!” Isaiah 14:12

  7. “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil….” Matthew 4:1-11

  13. Christ is interceding for you! • “My prayer is… that you protect them from the evil one.” (John 17:15) RREMEMBER

  14. God can use Satan to carry out His providential work. • “A thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan,”… “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:7-8). REMEMBER

  15. You have all you need to stand against him. • “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Ephesians 6:11). REMEMBER

  16. He is a defeated foe. • He is not God. He’s not omniscient, omnipresent, nor omnipotent. He can’t read your mind, be everywhere at once, or do whatever he wants, etc. REMEMBER

  17. Jesus taught us to pray… • “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matt. 6:13). REMEMBER
