  4. RECREATION • activities carried out during leisure time • an extension of the play experience • as a personal experience of value to the individual • socially acceptable • morally sound • can be physical or sedentary • has a structured framework • part of personal development

  5. LEISURE • free time • opportunity • choice • relaxes the individual • allows self fulfilment

PHYSICAL EDUCATION • instilling knowledge, skills and values through the medium of physical activity in an educational setting • involves a range of physical activities including team, individual, competitive and non competitive sport • involves acquiring activity specific skills and knowledge
