    3. History of Tennis • Tennis was made thousands of years ago by monks in Europe who played it for entertainment during religious ceremonies. • When tennis first started it was played with only hands.

    4. What is a tennis ball made of? • Tennis balls are made of a rubber core with a felt cover. The seam is made of the glue used to put the felt onto the rubber.

    5. What are tennis racquets made of? • Most tennis racquets are made of graphite composites. • The used to be made of wood. • Strings are either natural gut or synthetic.

    6. Rafael Nadal • Born on March 6, 1986. • 25 years old • Lives in Manacor, Mallorca, Spain. • Ranked number 2 in the world for singles.

    7. Novak Djokovic • Ranked number 1 in the world for singles. • Recently beat Rafael Nadal to win the Australian Open. • Lives in Monte Carlo, Monaco . • Born on May 22nd 1987. • 24 years old.
