  • Although there were many revolts and movements against imperialism and world power, there have been no known movements against Barbie.
  • In Malaysia, they believed that this doll does not leave any room for children to use creativity because they believe that this toy is already “fixed” and “ready made”.

Barbie & boyfriend Ken

Barbie and Ken were going out for a long time with no obvious plans for getting married.

This was not a very respectful relationship according to Iran.

They are considered the typical western life.

  • Sara, main doll, and her brother Dara were more suited to the Islamic lifestyle.
  • Dolls were covered from head to toe with burqas as a daily lifestyle in Islam.
  • Many did not think that they were going to succeed and be as popular as Barbie.
