This project aims to provide new spaces and renovations in various buildings to support the joint PhD program, accommodate department relocations, and create additional office and classroom spaces. The project will improve the learning and working environment for students, faculty, and staff.

  4. Engineering Portables • 2 Portables North of Engineering 24x48 (1,152 sf ea) • Office space and/or Classroom Space • Estimated Costs • Clearing --$50K • Unit Set up--$75K x2 = $150 • Unit Rental $25K (per year) x2 =$50K • Utilities Electric-$10K per year

Diplomacy • Split Ownership (LGTF 1,2; UAA 3,4,5) • Approximately 50,000 GSF (10,000/floor) • UAA is on 4th and 5th floor • AKDOC in on Floors 1-3 and pays the rent • AKDOC has been given termination notices for FY09 • ½ of First Floor has moved others as space becomes available • Move out complete by Jul 2008 • Plan was to consolidate Research Entities into Diplomacy in FY09 • Close to Campus • Parking • UA IT Infrastructure (internet, VOIP) • Possible Users: • ISER-- 5th and 4th floors • CHSW-3 rd floor • ENRI or others 2nd floor • Grants and Contracts-1st floor • TRIO 1st floor

Science Backfill • Draft Plan has been submitted by CAS • Will Provide some space for Engineering on 3rd Floor of Engineering • Adds ENRI to BMH • Some Office Space in Science • EBL swaps space within CAS • Some space in BMH • Draft Plan Under Evaluation • Vacated Space will require renovations
