Safety and Well-being: examples Dear Partners and friends, • Over the past several weeks we have seen record levels of rainfall and subsequent flooding, resulting in many thousands of residents being forced from their homes. Please be assured we are keeping students informed of safety advice and updates ……… Dear colleagues from our partner universities, • The biggest damages caused by the earthquake and the tsunami were 300 and 500 km. south of our campus. We are currently hosting 180 exchange students; only three left early. Of all the exchange students, none has had major problems with the situation. They were able to cooperate in different types of volunteer work in order to help affected communities.
