Thebiggestceremonytakesplace at the Atatürk Mausoleum in Ankara because Atatürk dedicatedthiseventtochildren. TRT bringschildrenaged 8 to 14 fromdifferentcountriesaroundtheworldtoTurkey. ThesechildrenstaywithTurkishfamiliesfor a weekandparticipate in childrens festival. Themostcommonsymbols of thiseventare; a globeor a circlesymbolizingtheworld. Wegotherebecause Atatürk builtourrepublicinspite of difficulties. He builtourrepublic on 29th october 1923 thenwe start tocelebrate it everyyear. RepublicDay is nationalholiday in Turkey.
