  • Zoot suits are nonentity but men’s suits with pegged trousers with wide leg and tight cuffs. Those trousers are also called as tramas. Other features are a long coat with broad lapels along with padded wide shoulders. One point that we don’t miss to see in the zoot suiters is the tapa and calcos.

  • These suits which gained standing in the early 1930s as a cool and casual suit, soon turned to gain much more fame in Los Angeles community. After this it took good place in the world of suits. The suits have an inspiring history behind. They were prohibited for the mirror the war time suits. Despite the limitations the Zoot suits are still here across the globe.

  • Fashionable Mensusa Zoot suits in various colors were and are famous all through the world and they require higher precision. They are conformist dinner suits which suits the semiformal and informal occasions like parties and celebrations.

Zoot suits were worn for special occasions such as a dance party. The zoot suit was first popularized by young teenage "hepcats" and the "jitterbug" dancers. It became extremely popular when entertainers such as Frank Sinatra began wearing them. The white zoot suit with white shoes became a trademark for king of swing, Cab Calloway.

  • The zoot suit consists of baggy trousers cuffed at the ankles, wide lapel and padded shoulders, wide brimmed hat, long dangling chains and oversized jacket. The baggy trousers are high-waisted i.e., the trousers are worn from waist higher than the normal trousers are worn.

  • There is no clear clarification when and where the mens zoot suit originate. It resembles the pegged trousers and long coat worn of 1900s. The Mensusa zoot suits first gained popularity in Harlem jazz culture in 1930s.

  • According to yet another clarification the origin of zoot suits could be in 1941 when it was first designed by Chicago tailor and band leader Harold C. Zoot Suit Fox. These suits were intended as dancing suit. They were worn by African-American and young Latinos in Los Angeles Chicano community. The Mexican American youths who wore zoot suits called themselves Pachuos. The people of Los Angeles measured anyone who wore zoot suit as gang member.
