  2. 90 Degree cut • Hair cutting using extensions • Teaching cutting does not require a lot of money your program doesn’t have!!! • It takes a teacher with a lot of creativity and imagination!!!!!

  3. Supplies • What do you need? • Bald manikins • Hair extensions • Scissors • Rulers • All purpose combs • Wig pins

  4. Directions • Precut extension the length of the head from front hair line to bottom of nape hairline. • Pin to the manikin using wig pins. Be sure to pin between the stitches so the swatch will stand up correctly

  5. More directions • Students will cut a 90 degree hair cut on the swatch. The finished cut will measure 4”. • Students will remove the pins from their swatch and lay it straight on the counter, using the ruler as a straight edge to check their work.

  6. More directions • Students will share their work and provide ideas for improvements • And… praise for excellence 

  7. Advancing to the cut • Cut swatch from ear to ear across the top of the head. • Students will cut the swatch using 90 degree positions and 4” as the guideline . • Check work as before.
