  3. Revenue & Expenditure Measures • Implementing RGST on Services • Broadening base of property tax • Revisiting royalties on minerals • Focusing on infrastructure and mineral resources • Restricting additional new non-development expenditure

Impact of Floods • 14 out of 30 districts’ infrastructure / assets affected (loss estimated at Rs. 53 B) • Service delivery disrupted • More than 100,000 families displaced • Over 75,000 houses damaged • Over 57,000 Livestock, crops on 710,000 acres washed away • Danger of water borne diseases persists • Fear of ejection of tenants who don’t have capacity to restore land to cultivable position
