  13. Do’s and don’ts SMS is meant for quick messaging ... tell it short ... to the point. ... the 160 characters are indeed a challenge. Is your service using SMS ?... promote it! Cross Selling, put it on every document of your organisation… don’t think that just having a website will boost your SMS traffic. Privacy restrictions … don’t burn your database of numbers ... end users get irritated after receiving more than 2 messages/month.
  14. Do’s and don’ts What is “privacy” to consumers? We use the same words to mean at least 3 different things: I don’t want you to know about me. it’s ok for you to know about me, but don’t tell anyone else. don’t bother me at all. and separately, I want my data secured . SMS is a fusion between “speak” and “write”.We write what we say ... but beware who you are sending the message to! Ifyoupromoteyour SMS action TEST IT and verify the printedversion of youraction!
  15. A demo of an POS application To register: sent the keywordMYNOto 8012 A free confirmation message willbe sent to confirmyourregistration and a way to unsubscribe in the future. When the promotion willbecomeactive, a SMS withcouponningwillbe sent in order to retrieveyour product as a member of anexclusive club.
  16. Whyintegrate SMS in communication? SMS is an extreme personnalisedway of communication and very easy to setupformasscommunication. (alsotwoways) SMS is very direct and willalwaysberead. SMS reducesyourcosts of traditional forms of (printed) direct marketing. sending a letter … postagefees of € 0,59 per letter. sending a SMS costsyou max. € 0,10 . It’s faster and cheaper and youcandetermineonyourownwhen the end user must receiveit!
  17. Whyintegrate SMS in communication? SMS givesalways a fast respons, peoplereactinstantaneously, soyougetveryfast feedback regarding the success ratio of the action. SMS canbereceivedeverywhere, noneed to login on a computer! SMS has a viral effect, messages are easilyforwardedbetweenpeople. Cross Selling : state your website orother promo in the textmessage (ifyou have the space).
