Language Objectives: • Choose three to seven places that are very familiar to you and write them in the table • Select and write down three to seven nouns that represent things or ideas that are important about the place. • Decide on an icon to represent each of these nouns. Find clip art on line to represent these nouns. Do this in the table provided for you. • Up load your work and share it with Mrs. Swanson. • Print the table so that you can use it on Lifeland. • Complete your Lifeland Map: • Design a bubble letter on paper. • Create islands for places farther away. • Contour a road to run through your land. • Designate areas of your “land” for each setting. • Draw a compass rose and an area for a legend. • Color the map carefully • Cut out your icons and place them in the appropriate sectors to represent that setting in your life. • Write your name on the back. • Turn it into the counter.
