    Slide 10:Lea Nikel ~ Famous artist Menachem Begin –He led the first [Jewish nationalist] revolution in nearly 2,000 years and signed the first peace treaty in Israeli history with Egypt. He was the 6th prime minister of Israel. Moshe Dayan – Israeli military leader and politician. He was a fighting symbol for the world on the new state of israel.

    Lea Nikel ~ Famous artist Lived in Moshav Kidron. Born in 1918 in Zhitomir, Ukraine, Nikel won the Sandberg Prize from the Israel Museum and the Israel Prize in 1995. Nikel is nicknamed "queen of abstract painting" and "queen of color and composition" among her Israeli colleagues. A brilliant abstract expressionist, her works are marked by brilliant colors, energy and composition. They are in numerous museums, including the Tate Gallery in London.
