  3. Waco Equality Project hosts a meeting to teach effective advocacy strategiesto local social justice workers, December 2012.

  4. Ron Hagar facilitated our series of Adult Religious Education classeson being a Welcoming Congregation.It was a learning experience for everyone who attended, including, Ron says, for him! We also had several guest speakers, in personor via Skype, who spoke on specific topics.

  5. In June 2013 UUWaco hosted a marriage equality forum, in which we invited local lawyer David Schleicher (not shown) to speak on the legal protections which accrue to those whose unions are recognized as marriage.   8. Dave Verdry and Curtis Cannon celebrated their union at UUWaco many years ago; our minister is really hoping she’ll get to perform fully legal, same-sex weddings at UUWaco in the near future!
