1) repealed • to revoke or withdraw formally or officially
2) Capital crime • any criminal charge which is punishable by the death penalty
3) provision • a clause in a legal instrument, a law, etc., providing for a particular matter
4) reluctant • unwilling; disinclined
5) preamble • an introductory statement; preface; introduction
