  3. 2) economy • The system of growing, making, selling, buying, and using goods and services

  4. 3) entrepreneurs • a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.

  5. 4) profit • The amount left after all production costs have been subtracted

  6. 5) revenue • A source of income

  7. 6) expenditures • Money spent or paid out

  8. 7) Fiscal year • A budgetary spending year; Georgia’s fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30.

  9. 8) scarcity • insufficiency or shortness of supply; inadequate supply; dearth; paucity .

  10. 9) surplus • something that remains above what is used or needed; an amount, quantity, etc., greater than needed

  11. 10) deficit • the amount by which a sum of money falls short of the required amount; the amount by which expenditures or liabilities exceed income or assets.
