  7. Control – Emergency Calls • Control staff receive more than 20,000 calls per year • They obtain enough information within 90 seconds to mobilise a response • Calls can be for minor or major incidents • Callers can be trapped, frightened, injured and often distressed

Community Safety • Provide fire safety advice to vulnerable members of the community • Provide specialist equipment to reduce the risk of fire related deaths and injuries • Work with partners to mitigate risk & vulnerability to all • Engage with local authority teams to prevent harm in relation to abuse and neglect

  14. Emergency First Responders • An EFR will be dispatched at the same time as an ambulance. • Located within local communities could mean they’re nearer to the scene and can deliver critical lifesaving care.
